Turning of Sod on new school

It was a very special day on Tuesday 9th October as the school celebrated a special sod turning ceremony. The pupils , teachers , staff , B.O.M and past Principal Ann Cooke were present to celebrate the start of the new construction on the school.  Fr.Howley performed a special blessing of the site and prayed for a safe and successful completion of the Project. Some of the children read prayers of the faithful. BOM chairperson Adrian Hovenden spoke of how it was a momentous day for Monivea and thanked all who have helped to get this great day during the years.


The honours of turning the sod on the new development fell to the youngest and oldest pupils at the school, Ella Burke and Dawid Kowalcyzk.  They did a great job !
